About

A glasshouse café that doubles as a live training environment for Churchfield Community Trust.

A path with ox-eye daisies and tall planting in the gardens, with a roof behind.

The Garden Cafe is housed in a Victorian-style glasshouse in the gardens of the Cork Foyer grounds, overlooking Blackpool. It serves fresh food to the public while doubling as a live training environment for service users of Churchfield Community Trust.

The café provides hands-on training in hospitality. Its purpose is to enhance social inclusion, interpersonal connectedness, self-esteem and employability. Trainees gain hands-on experience in barista skills, food preparation, HACCP, EPOS and customer service.

It is a nonprofit initiative, run as a social enterprise by Churchfield Community Trust CLG. The support of Cork City Council makes the Garden Cafe social enterprise possible.
